– With this sketchbook, you will discover all the talent of the designer Jean-Baptiste Andreae (author in particular of La Confrérie du crabe and Mangecoeur) and his sublime colors, through his sketches of girls (curvy girls, pin-ups, vampire girls, futuristic girls, maids, Lolitas, masked girls…) but also “faces” of all kinds.
– A little word about the author:
Born in Bordeaux in 1964, drawing very quickly became Jean-Baptiste Andréae's favorite means of expression. Nourished by Le Journal de Spirou in the 1970s, then by Métal Hurlant in the 1980s, comics were then a somewhat crazy dream for him that seemed inaccessible to him. He directs his studies towards graphic design and advertising... But it is his meeting with Gallié that will allow him to return to comics with as common thread his taste for the imaginary, daydreaming, fantasy (not heroic!) and shifted universes. Among his mentors: Winsor Mc Kay, Franquin, Giraud (Moebius), Miyazaki, Carlos Nine, Dave Cooper, Ashley Wood... At the same time, he always liked to draw pretty girls. With age, far from disappearing, this taste is affirmed and revealed in the pages of this book.
